From Loss to Leadership Amanda's story

Amanda Lee holds a Degree in Communications, a Diploma of Mental Health and has studied Coaching and NLP with The Coaching Institute. She is the founder of Blaze Coaching and the Cope Better Foundation, initiatives dedicated to transforming how individuals and organisations navigate grief, resilience, and wellbeing.

Her path into grief work began with her own lived experiences of loss and the recognition that workplaces and communities often lacked the tools to respond with compassion and confidence. This inspired her to combine professional expertise with personal insight, creating practical strategies that help others face grief and major life transitions with strength and clarity.

Through her eight year career leading the marketing function at SW Accountants & Advisors (SW), Amanda has been recognised nationally for her leadership and advocacy, receiving the 2024 National Women in Banking & Finance Award for Outstanding Achievement in Professional Services and the 2025 Women in Banking & Finance Inaugural Award – Mental Health Champion. Throughout her marketing career she has created several bespoke training programs, while also being involved in CSR activities.

Through Blaze Coaching, Amanda delivers executive coaching, corporate and community programs, and keynotes that integrate grief recovery methods, leadership expertise, and mental health strategies. With the Cope Better Foundation, she has expanded her impact by providing counselling for grieving families, developing community resources, advocating for grief awareness, driving research into grief recovery, and building sustainable support systems for long-term wellbeing.

An author and thought leader, Amanda is launching A New Way to Live With Loss in 2026, and is currently writing The Woman I Used to Be: Moving Through the Grief of Perimenopause with Confidence and Clarity, Grief Habits, and When my Grief was Too Much, offering fresh perspectives on resilience and transformation during life’s most challenging seasons.
